Masterpiece London Luxury Fair Returns to Chelsea with High-End Art and Security

festival-fair · 2026-05-04

The luxury fair Masterpiece has concluded its annual run in London, held in the gardens of the Royal Hospital Chelsea, the same venue as the Chelsea Flower Show. The fair offers an experience beyond typical art fairs, featuring private lounges operated by The Ivy, the Queen's favorite restaurant, and champagne bars throughout. Attendees adhere to a strict dress code. Masterpiece showcases a wide range of items, from Riva speedboats and million-pound jewelry to artworks by Botero, Picasso, Monet, Chagall, and a monumental double panel over 7 meters long by Keith Haring, exhibited by Opera Gallery, directed by Italian Federica Beretta. The fair also includes installations by young artists, modern furniture, and Versailles-style pieces. The temporary pavilion, designed to resemble an elegant Chelsea townhouse, features enhanced security checks following a 2017 theft of three rings worth over £2 million from Swiss jeweler Boghossian.
