Master of Photography: Sky Arte HD launches first photography reality show

Sky Arte HD is set to debut 'Master of Photography', the inaugural reality series focused on photography, starting July 21 in five nations: Italy, United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, and Austria. This eight-part competition features 12 participants from various countries tackling challenges in cities like Rome, Berlin, and London. Produced by Sky Arts Production Hub, each episode will include a guest photographer, including notable names like Alex Webb, Bruce Gilden, Elina Brotherus, and David LaChapelle. The show is hosted by Isabella Rossellini, with judges Oliviero Toscani and Simon Frederick. Rossellini, a former model for Helmut Newton, shared her excitement for the concept. Toscani emphasized that photography serves as a socio-political manifesto, while actor Michael Madsen, who participated in the portrait episode, reflected on his initial skepticism but found the experience enjoyable. The series aims to showcase the artistry, dedication, and emotion inherent in photography.
