Master of Photography returns for fourth season on Sky Arte
Sky Arte will debut the fourth season of Master of Photography, Europe’s inaugural television series focused on photography, on May 28. Contestants, aged between 23 and 40 from various European countries, will vie for a €100,000 reward and the esteemed title of Master of Photography. Each episode presents a unique genre challenge—such as street photography, landscape, portrait, and reportage—while the competitors journey through the UK, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, and Italy. Esteemed judges include Elisabeth Biondi (former visual editor at The New Yorker and Vanity Fair), Mark Sealy (international curator and historian), and Oliviero Toscani (Italian photographer). For the first time, judges will engage in outdoor challenges, closely observing the contestants. The inaugural episode, "Antica Roma," set at Ostia Antica, the ancient Roman port, requires participants to encapsulate the site's essence and historical importance in one photograph, featuring special guest Paolo Pellegrin.
