Massimodeluca Gallery Opens New Space at M9 Cultural District in Mestre

The Massimodeluca gallery, founded in Mestre in 2012, is opening a new location within the M9 cultural district, a multimedia museum focused on 20th-century history. The new space, situated in the building overlooking the Corte dell'Albero, will launch on December 2, 2018, with a solo exhibition by Filippo Berta titled "Sulla retta via," running through January 30, 2019. The gallery's artistic director, Marina Bastianello, explained that the move was motivated by M9's innovative and experimental vision, which aligns with the gallery's mission to promote emerging Italian artists with an international outlook. The gallery aims to collaborate closely with M9 on contemporary themes, working with artists, performers, curators, and other art professionals. Bastianello emphasized her belief in Mestre's potential as a cultural crossroads, despite its historically arid cultural landscape, and sees the new location as a way to bring exhibitions directly into the heart of the city.
