Massimo Masciulli, founder of Milan's Artra gallery, dies

Massimo Masciulli, who established the renowned Artra gallery in Milan alongside Marcella Stefanoni in 1978, has passed away. Following a closure, the gallery reopened last spring at a new location on Via Parini, now managed by their son, Matteo Masciulli. This reopening featured a collective exhibition showcasing artists pivotal to the gallery's legacy, such as Arcangelo, Gianni Asdrubali, and many others. Recent exhibitions included Oliver Ressler's "After the Crisis is before the Crisis" (2012), the group exhibit "Artrissima" (2013), and solo showcases by artists like Francesco Jodice and Bruno Munari. Just weeks prior to Masciulli's passing, the gallery presented Gianni Asdrubali's solo show titled "Interazione inconsulta."
