Massimo De Carlo Opens New Seoul Studio in Gangnam District

institutional · 2026-04-27

Massimo De Carlo, the Italian gallerist, is broadening his international presence with the establishment of MASSIMODECARLO Seoul Studio, located in the Gangnam district of Seoul. This new office and viewing space is designed to enhance relationships with local artists, curators, and collectors, while also playing a role in the burgeoning art scene of Seoul. This initiative comes in the wake of Frieze Seoul's inaugural Asian edition in 2022, which attracted many global galleries to the area. Notable newcomers in Gangnam include White Cube, Pace Gallery, and others. De Carlo already operates galleries in Hong Kong and Beijing and plans to launch a private contemporary art center in Asti province, Monferrato, by 2026.
