Marzocca Re-Lab: Urban Regeneration on the Adriatic Coast
The third Premio Creative Living Lab has been awarded to Marzocca Re-Lab, a multidisciplinary workshop initiative taking place from March to July 2022 in Marzocca, Marche, close to Ancona. Supported by over €2 million from the Italian Ministry of Culture for 43 projects, the program focuses on revitalizing neglected areas through cultural innovation. This edition, which wraps up the study phase encouraged by the Premio, stems from Associazione Demanio Marittimo.km278, active since 2011. Curated by Pippo Ciorra and Cristiana Colli, it features workshops led by photographer Paola De Pietri, chef Moreno Cedroni, artists Alessio Ballerini and Oliviero Fiorenzi, along with marine biologist Fabio Fiori, tackling broader regional challenges.
