Mary Boone Gallery Archives Exhibition Roundup: 2006-2009 Shows Featuring Liu Ye, Peter Halley, and Chelsea Backroom

In 2006, notable exhibitions included Liu Ye's "Temptations" from September 14 to October 28 at Sperone Westwater, Kyung Jeon's "The Impulse Garden" from September 16 to October 28 at The Proposition, and Chie Fueki's "Lucky, Star, Super, Hero" from September 9 to October 21 at Mary Boone Gallery, all emphasizing the intersection of pop appropriation and eroticism. Other artists referenced include Ai Weiwei, Slater Bradley, Sarah Sze, Lola Montes Schnabel, and Hilary Harkness, who shares stylistic traits with Sade.
