Marvel Animation Announces New Spider-Man Series for Disney+
Marvel Animation has unveiled a new animated series titled "Il vostro amichevole Spider-Man di quartiere" (Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man), set to premiere on Disney+ on January 29, 2025. The series consists of ten episodes written by Jeff Trammell and Mel Zwyer. It follows Peter Parker during his freshman year of high school, depicting his early, clumsy transformation into a superhero as he deals with neighborhood troublemakers, petty crime, and school violence. The show adopts a young adult tone with a drawing style that pays homage to the character's comic book origins. This new adaptation adds to the numerous variations of Spider-Man since his debut in 1962 in Amazing Fantasy, created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. Meanwhile, the fourth live-action Spider-Man film starring Tom Holland is scheduled for summer 2026.
