Martin Bostal appointed interim director of Bayeux Museum
Martin Bostal, a 36-year-old doctor in medieval history and archaeology, has been named interim director of the Musée de la Tapisserie de Bayeux. He joined Bayeux Museum in 2021 as head of museographic development for the future museum, expected to open in 2027. The famous tapestry will be loaned to London in the interim. Bostal succeeds Antoine Verney, chief curator of Bayeux museums, who died suddenly three months ago.
