Marta Djourina's 'Blushing' Explores Light as Material in Berlin

Marta Djourina will unveil her second solo exhibition, titled 'Blushing,' at Feldbusch Wiesner Rudolph in Berlin, commencing on April 29 and continuing until May 30, 2026. This exhibition showcases three new series of work that delve deeper into her exploration of light as both a subject and a medium. Eschewing the use of a camera, Djourina crafts images directly in the darkroom, manipulating light and photosensitive paper through precise techniques. Employing handheld devices such as laser pointers and diodes, she creates light drawings with choreographed movements honed over many years. For Djourina, light is essential to perception: 'Without light, we could see nothing.' This event signifies her return to the gallery this spring.
