Marseille Galleries Revitalize with VF Galerie and Marie Bovo Exhibitions
From March 24 to May 19, 2007, Marseille will host two exhibitions that showcase the city's artistic resurgence. VF Galerie, established by Véronique Collard-Bovy and Fabien Paoli, features artists such as Michel Auder, Lionel Scoccimaro, Frédéric Clavère, Arnaud Maguet, and Emmanuelle Villard. Auder presents a nocturnal photo series titled 'Pain or pleasure?', while Scoccimaro's sculpture fuses tribal traditions with American automotive culture. Clavère offers a gory reinterpretation of the Mona Lisa, Maguet uses amplifier themes, and Villard's 'Objets visuels' displays enigmatic sculptures. Simultaneously, Ateliers d'artistes will showcase Marie Bovo's work, which delves into darkness and Dante's Inferno through video and a series of photographs of burning newspapers, critiquing media portrayals. VF Galerie is also set to host Art-o-rama in September 2007.
