Mark Lewis to discuss film projects at Strangelove Moving Image Festival
On March 19, 2015, from 18:00 to 20:00, Mark Lewis, co-founder of Afterall and an artist, will showcase his latest film endeavors at the Strangelove Moving Image Festival organized by Central Saint Martins. He will elaborate on his works created in São Paulo and Paris, which were displayed at the 31st São Paulo Biennial in 2014. His recent films blend digital and analogue footage with 3D animation. Currently, he is finalizing 'Invention', a feature film envisioning a reality devoid of moving images. Lewis, who is based in London, represented Canada at the 53rd Venice Biennale in 2009 with 'Cold Morning'. Admission is free, but prior booking is necessary. Meanwhile, 'Mark Lewis: Above and Below' is on view at Le Bal until May 3, 2015, and 'Mark Lewis: Invention au Louvre' has been extended to August 31, 2015.
