Mark Bradford's Hong Kong Exhibition and Community Project Bridge Social Divides
Mark Bradford's 'Exotica' exhibition is currently showcased at Hauser & Wirth Hong Kong until March 1, highlighting new paintings characterized by intricate layers and nods to 1960s botanical classifications. Since July, Bradford has partnered with Hauser & Wirth's education team and Bridge+ on a youth initiative, where participants designed a mural and merchant posters inspired by his 2010 series. This initiative underscores his dedication to community involvement, which includes co-founding Art + Practice in 2013 and collaborating with Rio Terà dei Pensieri. He focuses on creating opportunities for young artists, especially those in grades nine through twelve. The Merchant Posters from the education lab are exhibited at Bridge+ until October 20.
