Mark Abegg de Boucherville's 'Out to Lunch' Captures Paris Models Dining

Mark Abegg de Boucherville has unveiled his first photobook, titled 'Out to Lunch', which showcases 88 models captured during lunch meetings across Paris. Drawing inspiration from Juergen Teller's 1990s go-sees, the project took roughly a year and a half to finalize. Each session adhered to a set routine: starting with coffee and conversation, followed by a meal selected by the model. The photographs, taken on film using a Contax point-and-shoot, remain unedited and were hand-printed for authenticity. The book's layout resembles a traditional French bistro menu, featuring a red cushioned cover with gold corners. Abegg de Boucherville, who transitioned to photography during the Covid-19 pandemic, was influenced by his mother, a freelance photographer, and his father, a painter. The project highlights a variety of dining locations, from bistros to fast-food chains like KFC and McDonald's, aiming to present models in their own attire and meal choices. The photographer remarked on the favorable feedback from models who valued the opportunity to express their true selves. The book is currently available for purchase.
