Marisa Coppiano's 'Io vengo da qui' at San Teonesto Church in Masserano
The ex-church of San Teonesto in Masserano, Biella, is being restored into a cultural center. The project, led by director Stefano Cavaliere and architect Marisa Coppiano, is supported by local companies including Zegna and a crowdfunding campaign that raised €7,000. Concurrently, the exhibition 'Per un Atlante della memoria' curated by Lisa Parola (co-founder of a.titolo with the late Luisa Perlo) opens at San Teonesto until September 30, 2022. The first artist featured is Marisa Coppiano with her site-specific installation 'Io vengo da qui' (2021–2022), which explores memory through a conceptual topography of personal and collective objects. The exhibition includes seven works forming a colorful kaleidoscope of fragments and memories. The project will continue in spring 2023 with further shows, residencies, and talks.
