It's inspired by the real-life commune founded by painter Karl Diefenbach in the early 1900s, similar to the Monte Verità community in Locarno. This film wraps up Martone's trilogy, which includes 'Noi credevamo' and 'Il giovane favoloso.' The cast features Marianna Fontana and others. Martone sees the film as a reflection on our bond with nature, highlighting themes of youth, community, and revolution, while noting that the commune's ideas were ahead of their time.
