Mario De Biasi's Photography and Drawings at Casa dei Tre Oci, Venice

exhibition · 2026-04-27

Over 250 photographs, mostly vintage prints from the 1950s onward, by Mario De Biasi (Sois, 1923 – Milan, 2013) are on view at Casa dei Tre Oci in Venice, along with numerous drawings and ceramic pieces. The exhibition, curated by Enrica Viganò with Silvia De Biasi, highlights De Biasi's dual output as a photojournalist for Epoca and his private, humanistic projects. A section dedicated to Venice features his candid shots of VIPs at the Venice Film Festival. The show also includes a large globe installation emphasizing universal human connections. Civita Tre Venezie president Emanuela Bassetti announced that the next exhibition at the venue will feature Sabine Weiss, after which the space will be handed over to new owner Nicolas Berggruen.
