Mario Ceroli Interview: Wood, Theatre, and the Eternal Return to Earth
A significant exhibition titled "La Meraviglia" is currently taking place at Cardi Gallery in Milan, showcasing the works of Mario Ceroli (Castel Frentano, 1938), curated by Davide di Maggio. This exhibition focuses on Ceroli's creations from the late 1970s and 1980s, featuring the "Discorsi platonici sulla geometria" series along with works from the past two decades. Ceroli, who made his debut in 1958 at Galleria San Sebastianello in Rome, studied under Pericle Fazzini and worked on prominent theater projects, such as Luca Ronconi's "Riccardo III" in 1968. At 86, Ceroli continues to explore various materials and aspires to set up a foundation in his studio in Rome. Following this exhibition, Cardi Gallery London and Palazzo Citterio will host further showcases in December.
