Marinella Senatore's Participatory Project at The Human Safety Net in Venice

Marinella Senatore's participatory project 'We Rise by Lifting Others' will be presented at The Human Safety Net in Venice from May 7, 2026 to March 22, 2027. The work, developed in collaboration with The Human Safety Net, emerges from workshops in Warsaw, Mestre, and Palermo involving families supported by the foundation and partner NGOs. The project features a monumental luminaria and a series of tapestries that incorporate texts and images from the workshops. The installation is located in the Procuratie, in dialogue with the permanent exhibition 'A World of Potential.' Senatore's practice uses collective processes as material, transforming shared experiences into visual and narrative elements. The work treats vulnerability as an active condition and inclusion as an operational mode rather than a theme.
