Marina Rheingantz and Anastasia Sosunova at Fondazione ICA Milan

Fondazione ICA in Milan presents two winter exhibitions featuring Brazilian artist Marina Rheingantz and Lithuanian artist Anastasia Sosunova. Rheingantz occupies two floors with large abstract paintings and jacquard panels that evoke nostalgic tropical landscapes threatened by human activity, using earthy palettes interrupted by bright color accents symbolizing surviving nature. Her textile works, created over a decade, reinforce environmental themes. Sosunova's Project Room installation includes multimedia and mixed-media works that critically engage with Lithuania's industrial revolutions, incorporating found objects and political references. Works like 'A light bulb and a chestnut' and 'A sock' assemble collected items reflecting past political events. The video 'Xover' (2025) features imagery from Harmony Park SPA and the Lithuanian hardware chain Senukai, blending reality and imagination. The exhibitions run during the lead-up to the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan.
