Marina Fedorova and Yousef Akbar Merge Art, Fashion, and AR in Riyadh Exhibition

Marina Fedorova's exhibition 'Ethereal Echoes' in Riyadh, running until December 9, 2023, blends her paintings with Saudi fashion designer Yousef Akbar's dresses, enhanced by augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR). The show features AR-tagged paintings that come to life via the Cosmodreams: Art in AR app, and a VR video 'Moon Fashion Show.' Fedorova's Cosmodreams series inspired the project, depicting dreams of a green desert. Akbar created the Cosmodreams dress using 3D laser mapping and Cosmodreams AR technology. Fedorova also presents the sculpture 'Palm Tree Lady,' inspired by the Al-Ahsa oasis, with its own AR scenario. At the vernissage, she will perform live painting on a dress. Fedorova, who studied fashion design at the St Petersburg Stieglitz State Academy of Art and Design, sees digital tools as a bridge to younger audiences. The collaboration emphasizes beauty, peace, and coexistence.
