artist · 2026-04-27

Marina Caneve, born in Belluno in 1988, employs photography to conduct interdisciplinary research with a focus on aesthetics. She received her education from Guido Guidi at IUAV Venice, ECAL in Switzerland, and the Royal Academy of Arts in the Netherlands. Presently, she instructs at IUAV Master in Photography and Spazio Labò in Bologna. Her current project, 'Motherboard – Le voci si contraddicono, Vajont' (2013–ongoing), which she co-founded with Gianpaolo Arena, investigates the relationship between catastrophe and society's fascination with disasters. Additional works include 'Bridges are beautiful' (2015–ongoing), '1 Km' (2012), 'Manifesto frammentario della città di Venezia', and 'Entre Chien et Loup'. Her project 'Are They Rocks or Clouds?'
