Marina Abramović talks at MAXXI Rome streamed online for €4.49

Marina Abramović will appear at the MAXXI museum in Rome on July 16, 2021, for a talk with artistic director Hou Hanru, discussing her career and the backstories of her most famous works, including Rhythm 0, which is featured in the exhibition 'Più grande di me. Voci eroiche dalla ex-Jugoslavia' (running until September 12, 2021). The in-person event sold out quickly, but the talk will be streamed live on Facebook for €4.49. Rhythm 0, first performed in 1974 at Studio Morra in Naples, involved Abramović standing still for six hours while the audience could use 72 objects on her as they wished. The exhibition includes over 50 artists exploring the history of the former Yugoslavia through contemporary heroic gestures, addressing nationalism, hospitality, and coexistence.
