Marimekko and Casetify launch floral phone cases and accessories
Marimekko has collaborated with Casetify to unveil a new line of phone cases and tech accessories showcasing four of its renowned designs. This partnership features cases for smartphones, tablets, and laptops, along with wrist straps, phone grips, and bands for Apple Watches. Among the prints, two are from designer Erja Hirvi’s contemporary 2024 collection (Kukasta kukkaan and Lemmitty), while the other two are classic 1960s designs: Maija Isola's iconic Unikko ('Poppy') print from 1964 and a design that includes the Marimekko logo. The vibrant colors range from sky blue and forest green to various shades of pink and orange, as well as geometric black and white. The collection is set to launch on 18 May 2026 at casetify.com and marimekko.com. Founded in 2011, Casetify operates out of Hong Kong and LA, having produced over 20 million phone cases and collaborated with various brands, including those in the automotive and film industries, as well as the estates of Warhol, Basquiat, and Dalí. Marimekko's chief marketing officer, Sanna-Kaisa Niikko, remarked that this collaboration "brings the art of printmaking into everyday life in inspiring ways."
