Marília Razuk Gallery Launches 4×5 Project with Four 20th Century Brazilian Artists

São Paulo's Galeria Marília Razuk inaugurates the Projeto 4×5 on July 31, a four-part exhibition curated by Douglas de Freitas. The program features the work of Amilcar de Castro (1920-2002), Eleonore Koch (1926-2018), Julio Plaza (1938-2003), and Leonilson (1957-1993), each anchoring a thematic module. The first module, 'Espaço,' runs from July 31 to August 20 and juxtaposes Castro's geometric forms with works by Ana Sario, Alexandre Canonico, Daniel Acosta, and Hugo Frasa. The second, 'Projeto,' from August 21 to September 10, focuses on Julio Plaza's conceptual and semiotic art in dialogue with Ana Dias Batista, Froiid, Vanderlei Lopes, and Raquel Gaberlotti. Eleonore Koch's uninhabited landscape paintings guide the 'Paisagem' module from September 11 to October 1, presented alongside Desali, Laura Belém, Mariana Serri, and Rommulo Vieira Conceição. The final segment, 'Corpo,' from October 2 to 17, centers on Leonilson's autobiographical work, shown with Adalgisa Campos, Amanda Melo da Mota, Lais Myrrha, and Maria Laet. Each module lasts approximately 20 days. The exhibition is presented both in-person at the gallery's Itaim Bibi location (Rua Jerônima da Veiga, 131) and virtually through its Viewing Room, with public access by appointment. Installation and deinstallation processes between shows will also be viewable.
