Mariencò and Maè: New Cultural Hub Near Fondazione Prada in Milan

other · 2026-04-27

Mariencò, a creative space founded in 2007 by Marinella Rossi in an ex-factory at via Ampola 18 in southeast Milan, is expanding. After over a decade, it is opening to the city and the surrounding SouPra district near Fondazione Prada. The new association Maè will include three areas: Mezzogiorno, a dining room with ingredient-based menus; Alimentari, a gastronomic venue between a greenhouse and garden; and Edizioni, a shop and event space for music, culture, theater, design, and crafts. Maè also offers professional training and supports micro-producers in the agro-food sector. Three membership tiers are available: Fillette for local residents with access to Alimentari and services like home delivery; Jeroboam for full use of spaces including Edizioni; and Nabuchodonosor, which adds an exclusive annual private event at Mariencò. The next event is on June 14, 2021, featuring Luini 12, a Milanese design studio presenting a new lamp collection inspired by new materials and sensibilities, running until July 23, 2021, with vernissage June 8-10.
