Marie Walsh Sharpe Art Foundation Hosts Open Studio Weekend in Brooklyn

From May 3 to May 5, the Marie Walsh Sharpe Art Foundation will host its Open Studio Weekend at 20 Jay Street, Suite 720, Brooklyn, NY 11201. The event kicks off with an opening reception on May 3 from 5 to 9 PM, followed by studio access on May 4 and 5 from 2 to 6 PM. On May 4, a discussion featuring Phong Bui and Joyce Pensato is scheduled from 12 to 1:30 PM. Sixteen artists from the 2012-13 Space Program, including Lisa Beck and Pam Butler, will showcase their work. Since its inception in 1991, the program has provided a year of complimentary studio space in Dumbo, Brooklyn, celebrating its fifth anniversary since moving from Tribeca. N. Dash, Amy Feldman, and Douglas Melini delve into abstraction and painted imagery.
