Marie Lund and Rosalind Nashashibi's O Rose exhibition explores fleeting moments through sculpture and film at Den Frie
The exhibition O Rose, featuring Danish sculptor Marie Lund alongside British-Palestinian filmmaker Rosalind Nashashibi, took place at Den Frie Centre of Contemporary Art in Copenhagen from 10 February to 7 April. Lund presented a mix of new and previously created sculptures, such as Slips (2023), Difference Over Distance (2024), Daily (2024), and The Thickness (2021/23). Nashashibi showcased her 66-minute film Denim Sky (2018–22) and the three-part video The Invisible Worm (2024), which stars Elena Narbutaité. The Invisible Worm integrates Benjamin Britten's 1943 musical interpretation of William Blake's poem 'The Sick Rose.' The exhibition's design fostered a disorienting experience, highlighting how small moments gain importance through personal connections and artistic exchange.
