Marie Curie biopic set for March release

A new film about Marie Curie, directed by Marie Noëlle and starring Karolina Gruszka, will be released in Italian cinemas on March 12, with previews on International Women's Day. Distributed by Valmyn, the movie covers the turbulent years 1905–1911, from Curie's first Nobel Prize trip to Stockholm with Pierre Curie to her second Nobel in 1911. It explores the death of Pierre, her affair with mathematician Paul Langevin, and the ensuing scandal. The director describes Curie as a brilliant scientist who contributed to the fight against cancer, but also a woman facing personal challenges.
