Marian Goodman honored with 2016 Leo Award from Independent Curators International
Independent Curators International has selected Marian Goodman for the 2016 Leo Award, recognizing her as the first art dealer to receive this honor named after Leo Castelli. Goodman established Multiples, an art publishing venture, in 1965 before launching Marian Goodman Gallery in New York in 1977. She expanded her gallery presence with openings in Paris during 1997 and London in 2014. The New York location will mark its 40th anniversary next year. The award acknowledges individuals who have made outstanding contributions to contemporary art.
