Mariacristina Gribaudi on Leading Venice's Civic Museums

institutional · 2026-05-05

In late 2015, Mariacristina Gribaudi, born in 1959, took over as president of the Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia, following Walter Hartsarich. Since 2002, she has been the sole director of Keyline S.p.A. During an interview at Ca' Pesaro, Gribaudi shared her vision, which aligns with Mayor Luigi Brugnaro's focus on efficiency and community engagement since he assumed office in June 2015. Key projects include the installation of Wi-Fi in all museums and the development of coworking spaces. The "Venezia Città delle Donne" initiative seeks to acknowledge women's contributions. Additionally, the foundation is collaborating with UNICEF to organize a conference on child brides in Afghanistan, aiming to enhance local citizen involvement and outreach, alongside plans for adjusted museum hours and partnerships.
