Maria Teresa Ortoleva's Triumphus Visionis at Fondazione Arnaldo Pomodoro

exhibition · 2026-05-05

On October 15, 2016, the Fondazione Arnaldo Pomodoro in Milan hosted a workshop concluding Maria Teresa Ortoleva's solo exhibition Triumphus Visionis in its Project Room. Ortoleva (born 1990 in Milan) created a digital print on chiffon fabric over ten meters long, drawing from ancient bestiaries and random iconographic research. The installation invited visitors to interact with the work using mirrors and charcoal, guided by the artist. The exhibition was curated by Federico Giani and followed a show by Andrea and Stefano Cozzi with Marie Janssen, who reinterpreted Marcel Duchamp's 1200 sacs de charbon. It precedes a performance by Francesca Schgor on October 27, inspired by David Foster Wallace's story Good Old Neon. The Project Room is a new program for emerging Italian artists. Arnaldo Pomodoro, turning 90, will be celebrated in Milan from November 30 with a widespread exhibition across venues like Palazzo Reale and Poldi Pezzoli.
