Maria Taniguchi Wins Hugo Boss Asia Art Award 2015
Maria Taniguchi has been named the recipient of the 2015 Hugo Boss Asia Art Award for Emerging Asian Artists. This esteemed biannual award, managed by the Rockbund Art Museum, comes with a cash prize of ¥300,000 (around £31,000) and recognizes outstanding talent in the Asian arts scene. Taniguchi, hailing from Manila, Philippines, was selected from a pool of six finalists, including Guan Xiao and Huang Po-Chih. The exhibition featuring the finalists' work is displayed at the Rockbund Art Museum and will be available for viewing until January 3, 2016. The announcement was made on November 26, 2015.
