Maria Rosa Sossai's 'Vivere insieme' explores art as educational action

Maria Rosa Sossai's book 'Vivere insieme. L’arte come azione educativa' (Torri del Vento Edizioni, Palermo 2017) combines a historical manual on radical pedagogical experiments intersecting with art from the 20th century to today, with a practical workbook of exercises by artists. Sossai argues that creative learning is accessible to all and that relational art is uniquely suited to foster transformative education. The book has been tested at Liceo Artistico Caravaggio in Milan and Accademia di Belle Arti di Napoli. Sossai recounts an exercise by collective ALAgroup, 'Ognuno ha il festival che si merita', conceived spontaneously at a bar near Rome.
