Maria Pacheco Cibils at OPENARTCODE FLORENCE group show

exhibition · 2026-04-29

Argentine-Portuguese designer and visual artist Maria Pacheco Cibils will participate in the international group exhibition OPENARTCODE FLORENCE, organized by the Open Art Code collective. The vernissage takes place on May 14, 2026, at 6:30 PM at Palazzo Rosselli Del Turco in Florence, running through May 19, 2026. The show features 22 international artists, including Trond Are Berge, Lloyd Brooks, David Harry, Evelyne Huet, Sumio Inoue, Maz Jackson, Catharina Johansson Berg, Beanie Kaman, Clara Kim, Gunilla Lindberg, Jean Nestares, Maria Pacheco Cibils, Sara Palleria, Anna Parish, Youngsook Park, Jeannette Rein, Marco Aurelio Rey, Wayne Stoner, Anne de Suède, Max Werner, Michael Freitas Wood, and Yucen. Pacheco Cibils presents two works from her series "Il colore dei sentimenti," previously shown at the Galleria della Biblioteca Angelica in October 2024. Curator Francesca Barbi Marinetti describes her practice as moving beyond traditional form with dense, vibrant chromatic impastos that explore ancestral and archetypal knowledge—earth, fire, air, water, and dualisms like light/dark and masculine/feminine. Pacheco Cibils has won the "Lorenzo il Magnifico" First Prize in Painting at Florence Biennale 2023 and received a Special Commendation at Florence Biennale 2025, as well as Merit Mentions at the Luxembourg Art Prize in 2021-2022-2024-2025. She lives and works between Italy and Argentina.
