Maria Callas Immersive Exhibition Opens at La Seine Musicale
La Seine Musicale, a music and culture venue on Île Seguin in Paris, will host its inaugural exhibition dedicated to Maria Callas, marking the 40th anniversary of her death on September 16, 1977. The 800-square-meter show, titled "Maria by Callas," runs from September 16 to December 14, 2017, in the Grand Salon. It juxtaposes her public and private life through unpublished archives, including personal moments with Grace Kelly and Franco Zeffirelli on Aristotle Onassis's yacht in the 1960s, as well as audio and video interviews with collaborators like Alain Delon, Georges Prêtre, and Valéry Giscard d'Estaing. Multimedia guides lead visitors through the experience using Callas's own voice.
