Maria Antonietta Di Benedetto Appointed Director of Pietrasanta's Centro Arti Visive

Maria Antonietta Di Benedetto has been named the new director of the Fondazione CAV (Centro Arti Visive) in Pietrasanta, Italy, following a selection process that drew over thirty candidates. Her two-year appointment, renewable for an additional two years, marks a new chapter for the foundation, which aims to promote high-level artistic training and strengthen ties between contemporary art, the local territory, and artisanal traditions. Di Benedetto brings a diverse background spanning management, culture, communication, and innovation, having previously led the Research Department at The Boston Consulting Group and the New Media division at Il Sole 24 Ore. She has also gained experience in the art world through roles at the Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Moderna e Contemporanea in Rome and the Fondazione Versiliana. Among the key projects for her tenure is the former Convento dei Frati, slated to host an artist residency program promoted by the municipality in collaboration with local foundations and entities. This initiative could further establish Pietrasanta as a hub for artistic exchange, education, and cultural production.
