Maria Alessandra Segantini and C+S Architects' LAND-CR.AF.T.ED Wins Architizer Vision Awards 2025
In an interview with HIGH The Journal, Maria Alessandra Segantini, a Venetian architect and co-founder of C+S Architects, elaborates on her acclaimed project LAND-CR.AF.T.ED located in Peccioli, Italy. Recognized as the Italian Architect of the Year in 2022, Segantini is also the inaugural woman to be honored in the Roll of Honor of the Order of Engineers and Architects of San Marino. The initiative, which she developed during her ten-year tenure as a professor in the UK, was initiated after her encounter with the mayor of Peccioli, who requested 12 social housing units. The masterplan features circular fields designed for drone-driven Agriculture 4.0, wooden farmhouses, and a communal hub for local produce, all reflecting her 'TranslationArchitetture' philosophy that prioritizes public spaces for social equity. Her work encompasses urban regeneration in multiple cities.
