Marginalia Exhibition in Pavia Showcases 13 Artists Outside the Art System

The exhibition titled 'Marginalia. Le forme della libertà' is currently on display at the Musei Civici del Castello Visconteo in Pavia and will continue until February 28, 2022. Featuring over thirty pieces from thirteen contemporary artists, both Italian and international, the show showcases their struggles against the conventional art system to achieve artistic freedom. Curated by Valerio Dehò, it includes works by artists such as Yayoi Kusama, Carol Rama, and Gilberto Giovagnoli. The exhibition seeks to redefine marginality as a conscious choice, offering a unique perspective on reality. It emphasizes Art Brut through Carlo Zinelli's contributions and juxtaposes them with those of artists who operate within societal and psychological boundaries.
