Maren Hassinger and Senga Nengudi's Retrospective Chronicles Decades of Artistic Partnership and Activism

At The Pizzuti, the Columbus Museum of Art showcases 'Las Vegas Ikebana,' a retrospective celebrating the nearly fifty-year partnership of Maren Hassinger and Senga Nengudi. (1976/2024). Their sound installation 'Talking Book' (1988) was created through a cassette tape exchanged between New York City and Colorado Springs. The collaboration began in 1976, culminating in their performance 'Ten Minutes' (1977) at Studio Z. The exhibition is open until January 11, 2025, emphasizing the visibility of Black women artists amidst ongoing challenges.
