Marco Trevisan stays at Christie's in new strategic role; Cristiano De Lorenzo named Milan managing director
Marco Trevisan, outgoing managing director of Christie's Milan, has denied leaving the auction house, clarifying that his role is being refocused. Following a report by Roberta Olcese on arteconomy24, Trevisan will now focus on building strategic partnerships with corporate entities such as banks, law firms, and brands, as well as developing the Collectrium project in Italy and Southern Europe. Collectrium, a digital collection management platform acquired by Christie's in 2015 from Boris Pavzner, aggregates data from over 1,500 auction houses for real-time valuation. Trevisan, former head of Affordable Art Fair (now led by Nina Stricker), will serve as a consultant. Meanwhile, Cristiano De Lorenzo, previously director of the President's office for Christie's Asia in Hong Kong under Francoise Curiel, has been appointed managing director in Milan, overseeing client engagement, collector relations, and legal representation. The changes coincide with Christie's Milan auctions on April 5-6, 2016.
