Marco Siciliano's artist books at FuturDome in Milan
Italian artist Marco Siciliano, based in Berlin, completed a 30-day residency at FuturDome in Milan (via Paisiello 6), curated by Atto Belloli Ardessi, producing limited-edition artist books. The books include 'Take a Pause', featuring kaleidoscopic screenshots of gay porn that become decorative patterns, and 'effeuiller la marguerite', exploring psychosomatic pain from heartbreak. Another book collects unanswered 'how are you?' messages from social media after his move to Berlin. Siciliano's practice focuses on the body's relation to everyday objects, such as used band-aids and mattresses, which he sees as absorbing traces of bodies. His studio was open to the public from October 29 to 31. Siciliano also performed at Tempelhofer Feld in Berlin, reproducing his 18 sqm room filled with white pages and objects, which were blown away by wind.
