Marco Raparelli launches artist T-shirts, bags, and hoodies with Officina Pixel

Artist Marco Raparelli (Rome, 1975) has launched a line of T-shirts, bags, and hoodies featuring his signature drawings, produced in collaboration with Officina Pixel, a Verona-based studio and shop. The project originated from Raparelli's participation in the exhibition "La Terza Notte di Quiete" last October, part of the Festival Veronetta and the collateral program of ArtVerona. Curated by Christian Caliandro, the exhibition involved shops on Via XX Settembre and Via San Nazaro in Verona's Veronetta district. Caliandro proposed Officina Pixel as a venue, where Raparelli developed his project, having previously printed T-shirts and other items. After meeting Alberto of Officina Pixel and his partner Marco Fantin, a collaboration for e-commerce products was established. Raparelli sees this as a natural extension of his practice, which moves fluidly between pop and underground, subcultures and indie scenes. He has previously produced multiples in silkscreen on T-shirts, hoodies, and cotton bags, viewing them as vehicles to disseminate his characters. The designs reflect Raparelli's themes: playful engagement with the art world, and light-hearted takes on harmony, peace, social cohesion, and resistance.
