Marco Puca's Scientific Fantasies at Moresco's Tomav
Marco Puca, born in Ancona in 1973, presents a new series of paintings at Tomav in Moresco. His works emerge from a visual reflection on scientific plates and microscope enlargements, generating geographies of signs and saturated color tangles. The subjects allude to anthropomorphic figures, sometimes double or halved, suspended in fields of pure color that transform into primitive symbols reminiscent of ancient parietal paintings and totemic animals. Puca infuses his color choices and subjects with a sarcastic, playful component, creatively exaggerating scientific reality to produce a deceptive vision. The perception of mechanical enlargement becomes an evolution of the artist's own observational process, generating new forms. The exhibition is reviewed by Fabio Petrelli.
