Marco Neri's 'About Her' at Fondazione Pino Pascali

Marco Neri's solo exhibition 'About Her' opens at Fondazione Pino Pascali in Polignano a Mare, curated by Giuseppe Teofilo. The show explores visual perception of landscape and art's mediation in the human-nature relationship. A key work is 'Notte della ragione' (2024), which engages viewers in a play of forms and light to reconstruct a nocturnal landscape. The 'Square' room presents fourteen white and red flags from countries including Peru and Switzerland, revisiting Neri's 2001 project 'Quadro Mondiale' for the 49th Venice Biennale, curated by Harald Szeeman. Neri stated in an interview with Davide Ferri for 'Arte e Critica' that flags are like rectangles of fabric where few colors represent places and histories, similar to his paintings. The exhibition extends outdoors with a site-specific wall painting 'Fun' on the foundation's facade, integrating with the sea horizon.
