Marco Lodola designs LED installations for Dior windows worldwide

exhibition · 2026-04-27

Dior has commissioned Italian artist Marco Lodola to create LED installations for the windows of its 400 flagship stores globally, following previous collaborations with Marinella Senatore and Tomaso Binga. Creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri selected Lodola, known for his hypercolorful pop works bridging art and design, to accompany the brand's new pop and disco-inspired Fall collection. The installations are tailored to each city: a double-decker bus for London, Pop Art for New York, the Parthenon for Athens, and unique designs for Rome, Shanghai, Seoul, and others. Lodola, born in 1955 and a founder of the Nuovo Futurismo movement citing Marinetti as inspiration, has previously worked with Vivienne Westwood and created installations at the Evita Peron Museum in Buenos Aires, set designs for the Sanremo Festival, X Factor, and Andrea Bocelli's Teatro del Silenzio, as well as album covers for Max Pezzali, Ron, and Grignani. The announcement was made during the Fall collection presentation.
