Marco Goldin halts Linea d'Ombra exhibitions to pursue theater and film
Marco Goldin, founder of the exhibition organization Linea d'Ombra, announced the suspension of its exhibition activities via a letter on the organization's website. The decision follows the closure of a Rodin exhibition and a Van Gogh show at Vicenza's Basilica Palladiana, which together drew over half a million visitors. Goldin, who founded Linea d'Ombra in 1996, stated the pause is temporary, intended to "reorder ideas" and explore new ways of conveying emotions inspired by painting. Over 12 years, Linea d'Ombra attracted more than 11 million visitors with blockbuster exhibitions featuring iconic masters and universal themes, often criticized for lacking conceptual depth but commercially successful. Goldin plans to focus on theater and cinema: starting November, he will present a show titled "La grande storia dell'impressionismo" with live music by Remo Anzovino. Additionally, he is collaborating with Nexo Digital and 3D Produzioni on a new docufilm about an unnamed late-19th-century painter, set for release in Italian cinemas in April 2019. Goldin previously worked on the docufilm "Van Gogh. Tra il grano e il cielo."
