Marco Giordano's 'asnatureintended' at Frutta Gallery, Rome
Frutta Gallery has relocated to a new space in Trastevere, Rome, and inaugurates with 'asnatureintended', a site-specific installation by Marco Giordano (born 1988 in Turin, lives in Glasgow). The exhibition features an industrial PVC tent that dyes the space red, creating a heterogeneous ecosystem where diverse techniques and materials engage in a tight dialogue to activate imagination through continuous associations. A group of amateur artists is tasked with portraying the artist, who, multiplied into a series of ceramic heads, is stripped of his supposed uniqueness and genius. Nature proliferates within the installation, seemingly following its own course despite being invoked by the artist. Lenticular prints challenge the viewer's perspective, as the slightest movement radically transforms perception of reality. The exhibition runs until November 5, 2016, at Frutta Gallery, Via dei Salumi 53.
