Marco Galli's Èpos Launches New Comic Imprint Stigma

publication · 2026-05-04

A new self-managed comic imprint, Progetto Stigma, has been launched in Italy by AkaB (Gabriele Di Benedetto). The label prioritizes strong artistic identity and authorial control over production and profits, involving both emerging and established cartoonists. The first release is Marco Galli's Èpos, a graphic novel published in collaboration with Eris Edizioni of Turin. Èpos tells the story of an office worker whose routine is disrupted by an unspecified catastrophe, descending into a post-apocalyptic urban nightmare. The book proved eerily prescient: Galli later experienced a severe illness that mirrored his protagonist's ordeal. The author describes the work as a premonition of his own suffering, though he remains rational. Èpos will be in bookstores from May 8, 2018, priced at €17.
